She was predeceased by: her parents, Adalor Regnier and Opal Regnier (Demanett); her husband Billy Joe "Tex" Read; her grandson Stephan; her brother Darrell Regnier; her mother-in-law Lois Read; her brother-in-law Robert Aytes, Sr.; her nephew James Aytes; and her pet Toby.
She is survived by: her children, Christina Read of Concordia, KS and Todd Read (Sharon) of Lafayette, LA; her sister Dolores Aytes of Concordia, KS; her grandchildren, Grant Read (Kacy) of Lafeyette, LA, Stephanie Grogan (Izaiah) of Salina, KS and Brady Read (Sara) of Salina, KS; and her great grandchildren, Kylee Hillman and Rhea Grogan.
The family suggests memorials to the Charlotte Read Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
