He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur V. Lowell and Gladys Katherine Lowell. He is survived by: his spouse Inalee LaPert Nixon (Lee); his son Jay Lowell (Ann); his grandchildren, Rans Lowell (Allegra) and Leah Loring (Michael); his son Jim Lowell (Lori); his grandchildren, Devin Lowell (Lauren) of New Orleans, LA and Cassie Auxier; his daughter Melissa Wilson (Brian); his grandchildren, Justin Crum (Celia), Garnett, Alyssa Warren (Jay), Gardner, Torey Taylor (Tera) and Shawnee; his stepgranddaughter Kimberly Baldwin-Wilson; his son James Nixon (Lisa); his granddaughter Shannon Nixon; his sons, Tom Nixon (Karen) and Rob Nixon (Regina); his stepgrandsons, Aaron Bingham (Jennifer) of Atwater, CA and Adam Bingham; his sister-in-law Ilomae LaPert of Arleta, CA.; his great grandchildren, Carter, Lily, Foster, Abram, Lena Warren, Everlee, Charlie Crum, Adeline, Archer Lowell, Ensley, Emerson Loring and Charlotte Lowell; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, August, Molly Bingham, Ryner Hillis and Attley Baldwin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous cousins.
His contributions to community education also included teaching a journalism class at CCCC for several semesters.
