It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bonnie J. George of Concordia, Kansas, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Eugene and Alaine Maxine Floyd (Monroe); her sisters, Janice and Patricia Pool; and her great grandchild Keith, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer McKee (Steven) of Frontenac, KS, Tamara George-Friend of Atoka, TN, Jeffrie George (JoHanna) of Garden City, KS and Jonna Trost of Concordia, KS; her siblings, Earl Floyd (Donna), Steve Floyd (Terri) and Lynette Jackson (Mark); and also Bonnie. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Church and can be sent in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, PO Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901.

“This afternoon I had a flash of Bo, looked her up, and found her obituary. It is not Irena Sendler's daughter she hosted in Kansas; it was the daughter of one of the children rescued by Sendler's network. In other words, it was me. Bo came into my life when my mother was first diagnosed with cancer. At a distance she kept a line open, and then offered me sanctuary and respite at a time when she was going through severe stress of her own.”
