She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Bates and Helen Bates (Mindrup); her brothers, Joseph and Richard; her husband Gilbert Simon of Colwich; her daughter Linda; and her grandson Quentin.
She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Otter (Alfred) of New Almelo, KS, Roberta Bruinekool (Gary) of Lenora, KS, Arthur (Karen) of Edmund, OK., Rod (Cheryl) of Oakley, KS. and Arnold (Gloria) of Grand Island, Nebraska; and her children, William of Colwich, Anthony (Tamara) of Wichita, Rodger (Sarah) of Haven, Francis (Rose) of Colwich, Douglas (Lisa) of Andale and Denise Childers (James) of Arkansas. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
