With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Viola Marie Zwahlen of Columbus, Kansas, born in Richland, Missouri, who passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jess Griffitt and Maud Griffitt (Patch); her husband Abraham Harvey Zwahlen; her children, Brenda Parsons (Charles) of McCune, Dixie Alvord (Robert) of Owasso and Dennis Zwahlen (Geri) of Vinita; her brother Raymond Griffitt; her siblings-in-law, Shirley Griffitt, Jerroll Zwahlen of Tulsa and Betty Zwahlen of Columbus Ks; her grandchildren, Kimberly Van Dorn, Katrina Fox, Kevin Alvord, Jennifer Henry, Jeromy Zwahlen and Jackie Bandy; her son David Harvey Zwahlen; and her granddaughter Kelley Farrell. She was also cherished by 21 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Solace House in care of the funeral home.
