We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2023, at the age of 88, Shirley Griffitt of Columbus, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Redmond Clevenger and Florence Clevenger (Smith); her husband Raymond; her children, Raymond Edward, Leland Ray and Sandra Lynn; her son-in-law Greg Plunkett; and her siblings, Joyce Tyree, Neva George, Erma Thompson, Vinita Allen and Redmond Clevenger.

She is survived by: her children, Janet McKinzie (Kerry) of Columbus, Diana Hill (Chester) of Columbus, Lela Gaye Slay (Steve) of Columbus, Kenney Griffitt (Linda) of Columbus, Mary Plunkett of Paragould, Arkansas and Sheryl Schneider (Duane) of Asbury, Missouri; her grandchildren, Tessa Clark (Jeff), Melissa Proffitt (Don), Melinda Cox (Justin) of Columbus, Jess Plunkett of Illinois, Jason Plunkett of Paragould, AR, Kristan Plunkett-Partlow (Jacob) of Jonesboro, AR, Steve Schneider of Gardner, Rick Schneider (Katie) of Joplin, James Hill (Barb) of Overland Park, Amanda Burns (Blake), Cassandra Hill-Durbin of Columbus, Marietta Nickelson (Danny) of Girard, Helen Holland (Adam) of Pittsburg, Lindsey Morris (Paul) of Columbus and Travis Griffitt (Kayla); her brother Bill Clevenger (Jean); and her brother-in-law Billy Sam Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
