She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin John and Catherine Christina Swaters (Heimann); and her siblings, Maurice Swaters, Leroy Swaters, David Swaters, James Swaters, Mary Hopfinger, Hildegarde Davies, Catherine Fenimore and Rose Margaret Daugherty.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Kirk; her children, Don Kirk (Laura), Pat Daugherty (Carl) of Carl Junction, MO, Linda Atkinson (Don Pitts) of Joplin, MO and Mary Jane Simpson (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Julie Cassidy, Shelly Morgan, April Willis, Eric Atkinson, Jill Miller, Jamie Boschee, Nate Kirk, Luke Kirk, Mack Kirk, Geoff Pitts and Stephanie Lee; and her caregiver Fern Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either St Rose of Lima, or Big Brutus Museum in care of the funeral home.
