It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Freeman of Columbus, Kansas, born in Oswego, Kansas, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Ray and Lola Luella Freeman (Allen); and his brother Ray Allen Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie D. Johnson of Columbus, KS; his caregiver Richard; his children, Steve Freeman (Lori) of Rural Columbus, KS and Sonja Duley (Steve) of Columbus, KS; his brother Jimmie Freeman Sr. of Columbus, KS; his grandchildren, Kylee Johnson (Trevor) of Columbus, KS, Katey Freeman of Columbus, KS, Ryan Duley (Amy) of Columbus, KS and Chris Duley (Kaylee) of Carl Junction, MO; and his great grandchildren, Elsie Duley, Kynedi Duley, Creighton Duley and Wyaitt Kay Duley.
