In the vast expanse of eternity, Mary Louise shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Mary Louise farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Heistand and Elizabeth Heistand. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Robinson (Bob) of Columbus, KS, Christy Oplotnik (Jeremy) of Columbus, KS and Robert J. Martin (Rachael) of Wamego, KS; and her siblings, Barbara George of Battlefield, MO, Ruth Delmont of Columbus, KS and Fred R. Heistand (Rose) of Columbus, KS. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Columbus (132 E Pine St, Columbus, KS 66725). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Park Cemetery (1173 SE Wyandotte Rd, Columbus, KS 66725).
