He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Raymond and Audrey Mildred Burch (Shanks); and his brothers, Ronnie Joe Burch and Harry Burch. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Beattie; his daughters, Becky Todd (Zane Jr), Angela Degelman (Alan) and Lori Combs (Kevin); his sister Vivian Frost; his sister-in-law Bonnie Burch; and his grandchildren, Zane Todd III, Brittany Todd, Alexander Degelman, Austyn Degelman, David Combs, Korri Combs, Audrey Combs and Sabrina Marten Combs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Girls Softball Association.
