Janice Elaine Maxwell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2025, at the age of 84, Janice Elaine Maxwell of Columbus, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Johnson (Bob) and Helen Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Jim (Jim); her children, Bob Maxwell (Kathleen), Lisa Craig (Larry), Lori Simmons (Tony), Shawna Ergin (Erhan), Brent Maxwell (Christina) and Shanel Bullard (John); her grandchildren, Rachel Cessna (Braden), Jarred Simmons (Jennifer), Michael Bullard (Abigail), Jonathan Maxwell (Micaela Javelona), Kaitlyn Olsen, Ava Ergin, Kaya Ergin, Kennedy Bullard, Grayson Maxwell, Addison Maxwell and Kole Maxwell; her children, Bailey Cessna, Kevin Xiong, Kobe Xiong, Broden Cessna, Braxen Cessna, Paige Bullard, AJ Bullard and Donnie Olsen; and her sister Roberta Hoy (Tony). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Derfelt Funeral Home - Columbus (132 E Pine St, Columbus, KS 66725). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chetopa First Christian Church (912 Maple St, Chetopa, KS 67336).
