Estella Mae Staton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2022, at the age of 102, Estella Mae Staton (Columbus, Kansas) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Estella Mae Staton to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Homer Joseph Vanhorn and Florence Etta Keller; her great-grandparents, William Martin Wyatt Vanhorn and Nathaniel Wyatt; her daughters, Earleene Qualls Spaulding and Sue Smith (Ed); her sons-in-law, David Gaines and Joe Pliler; her husband Earl Oliver Staton; her daughters, Mary Ann Pliler and Alice Gaines; and her siblings, Delene Pickering Fields, Lucille Bybee and Leonard Vanhorn. She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; twenty- six great grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Baxter Springs Historical Society and may be left in the care of the Baxter Springs Heritage Center and Museum.
