With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Adelina Lea Munoz Ellis Johnson of Columbus, Kansas, born in Quapaw, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fernando Munoz and Mary Munoz; her husband Dale Ellis; her siblings, Sylvina Munoz May, Bea Munoz Cowan, F. E. "Joe" Munoz Jr. and Frankie Munoz; and her nephew Bill Munoz.
She is survived by: her former spouse Moore Johnson; her sons, D. G. Ellis (Paula) of Jenks, OK, Bob Ellis (Cindy) and Mike Ellis (Peggy); and her niece Marylin Cowan Shumake (Darrel). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Columbus Public Library (Children's Section) or Columbus First Baptist Church or Alzheimer's Association. in care of the funeral home.
