He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sanders and Mattie Sanders; his wife Joan Sanders; his brother Sid Sanders; his sister-in-law Beverly; his son Stuart Sanders; and his stepchildren, Stephen Moore and Sandra Moore.
He is survived by: his brother Sidney Sanders; his former wife Jeannine Nelson; his children, Curtis, Curt Sanders (Diane) of Hutchinson, KS, Susan Haines (Fred) of Colby, KS and Julie Ross (Robb) of Colby, KS; his grandchildren, Luke Haines (Julisa) of Hays, KS, Jake Haines (Ashlee) of Colby, KS, Alex Haines (Amber) of Hays, KS, Jennie Reichert (Eric) of Kansas City, Jillian Miller (Kevin) of Wichita, KS, Riley Ross (Mindy) of Columbus, OH, Katie Schoenhoff (Mason) of Halstead, KS, Kari Wilkie (Dennis) of Omaha, NE, Brianna Wissman (Skyler), Madi Wiesner (Dylan), Freddy Haines (Miah), Lewie, Mac, Levi, Morgan Haines, Camden, Payson Haines, Grant, Ella, Anna, Griffin, Addison, Georgia, Cole Reichert, Reagan, Ryder, Rachel, Roby Ross, Kelsi, Madison, Cassidy, Boston, Sterling Wilkie and Josslyn Schoenhoff; and his great great grandchildren, Welker, Riggins and Baron Wissman.
