He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Mense and Louise Mense (Ostmeyer); and his sisters, Johanna and Janice Zerr. He is survived by: his wife Frances Zerr; his sons, Leland (Christy) and Larry; his sister Joan Weinhardt; his grandchildren, Stephanie Grennan (Chris) of Manhattan, KS, Andrew Mense (Bekah) of Portland, OR, Steven Mense of Kansas City, MO and Carolyn DeMasi (Alex) of Kansas City, MO; and his great grandchildren, Clair, Carter, Eli Grennan and James Mense.
