He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Erickson and Euella Erickson; and his brother Aard Erickson. He is survived by: his sister Lois Pedigo (Larry); his sister-in-law Wendy Erickson; his former wife Kathlyn Brooksher; his children, Randy Erickson (Claudia), Regan Erickson and Holly Huebner (Seth); and his grandchildren, Lauren Jundt (Kai), Carli Erickson, Katy Peterson, Bryce Erickson, Leif Erickson, Ariana Erickson and Jackson Huebner. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his girls.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Achilles Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Shirley Opera House (503 Main St, Atwood, KS 67730). In fact, after the first few months of COVID-19, he was asked how he was handling the required "social distancing.". He responded by indicating that he had been social distancing for years and was glad everyone was finally catching up and leaving him the hell alone.
