Myrna Lucille left this world on January 13, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Metzler and Lucille Cummins Metzler; her husband Fred Griffin; her son Terrance; her brothers, Leo D. Metzler, Sam E. Metzler, Merle E. Metzler and P. Homer Metzler; and her grandchildren, Michael Scott Hopson, Melissa Sue Vagher and Jason Chase Wilcox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Hopson (Wesley), Cyd Vagher (Joe), Diana Wilcox (Kenneth) and Deanna Horinek (Doug); and her sisters-in-law, Opal Linville and Helen Metzler. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baalmann Mortuary - Colby (190 S Franklin Ave, Colby, KS 67701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Beulah Cemetery (740 S Country Club Dr, Colby, KS 67701).
