It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary James (Colby, Kansas), born in McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on July 5, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Vontz and Esther Vontz. She is survived by: her former spouse Gurnie Eugene James (Sonny); her children, Michelle Dawn, Lisa Marie, Michelle Snider (Dick), Lisa James and Rhett James (Julie) of Colby; her grandchildren, Cody Hatfield (Caroline) of Westminster, CO, Brena Vargas (Homero), Trenton Jones (Melissa), Brock and Gage James; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Siena and Estella Vargas; her great grandchildren, Makynslee, Emery Vargas and Joseph Hatfield; and her siblings, Judy Ross (Mike) of Bartley, NE, Janet Brenning (Bob) of McCook, NE, Tom Vontz (Mary) of McCook, NE and Terry Vontz of McCook, NE. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
