He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon M. Schroeder and Protus Schroeder (Ackard); his son John Richard "Rick" Schroeder; his siblings, Robert Schroeder and Mary Garrett; and his niece Gloria Ribordy.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Stickel; his daughters, Diana Presley (John) of Dodge City, KS and Debra Aday (Bob); his sister Lois Anne Frodin of Goodland, KS; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Presley (Janie), Courtney Howard (Matt), Ashley Seidl (Brock), Benjamin Schroeder, Nicolas Schroeder (Kelly) and Von Aday. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Levant Community Church, in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
