He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Covalt and Beryl Covalt; and his brother Rick Covalt. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hall Covalt; his daughter Jennifer Covalt Stinemetz (Jason); and his sisters, Beverly Haley of Salina, Carla Chadwick (Robert) of Kansas City and Judy Connelly (Wayne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and multiple friends.
