He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings Jones and Ethyl Belle Jones (Gordon); his wife Mary Kayleene Jones; and his siblings, James W., Leslie M., Arthur R., Leonard W., Francis E., Lester M., Mary E. Lofstead, Maude E. Staples, Ada B. Tomanek, Arbutus L. Persinger and Wanda Mae Jones.

He is survived by: his sons, Barton Allen Jones of Bladen and Charles Curtis Jones of Phoenix, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Colette Wahlmeier of Kansas City, Kansas, Christopher Andrew Jones, Simon Alexander Jones, Michael Aaron Jones, Mary Tessa Wahlmeier and Walter Keegan Wahlmeier.
