He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Kathryn R. Hammett; and his children, Linda Stockman (Gerold), Cindy Cutting (Dane), Diane Gerstner, Ann Siemsen (Cary), Chris Gerstner (Diann), Rex Gerstner (Michael Graham), Laura Mueller (Duke Schiefelbein) and Melissa Haberkorn (Robert). He was also cherished by grandson: "A great man that has done everything great to every person that he has ever graced!" He was proceeded in death by his wife, both parents, four brothers, and six sisters.
