Stephanie Stephenson lit a candle

“Only knowing Lee for a short while, he left an everlasting mark on me. Spending time at the Colby Airport was better because of his daily presence. Listening to his stories of the Interstate Cadet, Harmony Valley Airport, and raising his family in Independence, KS will remain fresh in my memories. Lee will always hold a special place in my heart, be so deeply missed, and never forgotten. Blue Skies & Tailwinds, Lee”

Barbara Eubanks wrote a sympathy message

“Words are inadequate to express the untimely death of Lee. He and his wife Jayne were residents of Independence for many years. Our paths crosses a few years ago; and I am forever grateful. Lee and Jayne were kind, considerate, and respectful people. As all of you navigate the days ahead, keep your memories close to heart. May God surround you with protection and peace that only He can provide.”
