He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie "Hamp" Strickland and Bernice Strickland; and his siblings, Lilly Ann, Wilbur Strickland, Willie Strickland, Thomas "Tinky" Strickland, Gladys Boyd and Diane Franklin.

He is survived by: his wife Kasandra Strickland; his daughters, Mckenzie, Desiree and Imari Strickland; his bonus children Marty Penn, Mahogany Penn, and Teneka Penn; and his sisters, Martha Littlejohn and Paula Strickland. He is also survived by his grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
