He was predeceased by: his parents, Verl Long and Laura Long (Carlton); his daughter Leslie Ann; his brother Charles Long; and his half-brothers, Wally and Buford.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Long of Coffeyville, Kansas; his sons, Mike Long (Cindy) of Dallas and Bill Long (Karen) of McKinney, Texas; and his sisters, Betty Hillmeyer of Florida and Mary Jacobs of Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
