With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Franklin Jones of Coffeyville, Kansas, born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 19, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary M. Jones (Wright) and Bill Jones; his wife Waymeth Jones; and his siblings, Bonnie Gilfillan, Lynne Vandermark and John Jones.
He is survived by: his stepson Richard "Wayne" Joplin (Susan) of Coffeyville; his son Anthony "Tony" Wayne Jones (Annie) of Independence; his close friend Shirley Webber; his cousin John Jones; his daughter Angela Whitmore (John) of Overland Park, Kansas; his partner Shirley Webber; and his brother Robert Jones (Phyllis) of Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and close friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Peyton Joplin's college fund; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
