He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lanning and Hazel Lanning (VanBuskirk); and his siblings, Bill, Paula Lanning, Tom Lanning, Wanda Clark, Phyllis and Wuanita Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Lanning; his children, Eric Lanning (Dawn) of Coffeyville, Tera Lanning of Coffeyville and Daniel Lanning of Coffeyville; his grandchildren, Dalton Lanning of Orlando and Sydnie Lanning of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Larry Lanning, Mary Wade (Roy) and Kathy Fouts (Sam).
