He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Watson Hollyfield and Verna Ruth Hollyfield (Bixby); and his wife Mary Suzanne Potter. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Haylie Hollyfield of Independence, Hope Ashlock of Independence, Tagan, Drake Hollyfield of Derby, Sadie Hilton of Wichita and Addi Hilton of Manhattan; and his great grandchild Ryan Suzanne Watson of Independence.

His family suggests memorial donations be made to Phoenix Home care and Hospice of Derby, Kansas and to the American Heart Association.
