He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Jean Palmer (Gordon) and Walter Palmer; his daughter-in-law Kandy Palmer; his grandson Briar Palmer; and his brothers, Joe and Gary Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Palmer; his children, Robert Palmer (Jennifer) of Mound Valley, Kansas and Angela Whicker of Coffeyville, Kansas; and his siblings, Gene Palmer (Norma) of Mound Valley, Alice Kirkland (Jim) of Edna, Jerry Palmer (Linda) of Carthage and Tim Palmer (Lynn) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two grandsons-in-law; two step granddaughters and two great grandchildren.
