It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orlin Everitt Maritt of Coffeyville, Kansas, who passed away on November 5, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Z. Sr. Maritt and Opal Maritt (Pool); his significant other Hazel Smithson; and his siblings, Dan, Robert, James Jr. and Helen.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Griswold; his daughter Catherine Sue Vail (Raymond) of Wann, Oklahoma.; his siblings, Dean Maritt (Pat) of Coffeyville, Kansas and Freda Hulet of Edna, Kansas.; his siblings-in-law, Karan Maritt of Coffeyville and Virginia Maritt of Coffeyville; his granddaughter Michelle Gander of London, England.; and his great grandchildren, Christina Munguía of Longmont Colorado, Kayano Vail of Pittsburg, Kansas, Marissa Vail of Pittsburg, Kansas, Elaine Harkey of Oklahoma City, Rebecca Gander of Luton, England, Alice Palmer of Bedford, Sawaki Vail of Longmont Colorado, Matthew Gander of Gloucestershire, England, Joe Palmer of Aberdeen and Scotland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
