We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2023, at the age of 95, Melvin O'Connor of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis O'Connor and Orpha O'Connor (Simmons); his wife Meredith J. Mitchem; his brother Gene; his half-brother Clay; his sister Fleta; and his half-sister Juanita.

He is survived by: his daughter Karen Kneedler (Jim) of Edna, Kansas; his sister Louise Jenkins of Lubbock, Texas; his grandsons, Chris Kneedler (Leigha) and Corey Kneedler; and his great grandchildren, Kyan Kneedler and Gabriel Kneedler.

The family suggests memorials to Westside Christian Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
