With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Cornell of Coffeyville, Kansas, born in Cherryvale, Kansas, who passed away on February 20, 2023 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret Cornell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Roeder and Cecilia Roeder (Lies); and her siblings, Ed Roeder, Norman Roeder, Vernon Roeder, Delbert Roeder, Clayton Roeder, Edna Mae Kendrick and Jeanie Figgins.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Cornell; her children, Debra Cornell of Camden Point, Gina Smith (Don) of Independence, Kansas and Steve Cornell of Coffeyville; and her siblings, Darrell Roeder (Peachie) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Coralee Olson (Larry) of Andover, Kansas. She is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Holy Name Catholic Church and The Journey Home. Donations can be left with the funeral home or mailed to David W. Barnes Funeral Home at 306 N. Cline Rd, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
