He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Z. Sr. Maritt and Opal Ruth Maritt (Pool); his wife Virginia Maritt; his children, Mary Lou Maritt, Ruth Ann Landrith (Marc), Elizabeth Jane Brummer (Bruce) and James Richard Maritt (Matul Patel); and his siblings, Orlin M. Maritt, Dean Maritt (Pat) and Freda Hulet. He was also cherished by three grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
