He was predeceased by: his parents, Don McCray-Akers and Mary McCray-Akers; and the mother of his children Sheila. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kay White of South Coffeyville; his stepdaughter Miranda Renee; his daughter Cheyenne Akers; his grandson Maverick Andrew Volmer of Miranda; and his siblings, Donna Thomas, Nancy Brewster, Deborah Baker and Jason Akers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
