She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Magana and Sabina Magana; her son Jerry; her grandson Nathan Vargas; and her siblings, Daniel, Vincent, Paul Maldonado, Mary Maldonado and Carmen Sanchez.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Vargas (Jeanette), Steven Martinez (family: Linda Wintjen, Bernie Vargas) and Marty Vargas; her grandchildren, Michelle Coons (Michael), Bobby Vargas (Nicole), Isaac, Brent, Stephanie, Anna Males, Lucas Vargas (Chelsea), Marti Vargas, Bridgette Wright (Buckley) and Brandon Vincent (Stori); and her sister Lupe (Tony). She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (408 Old Willow St, Coffeyville, KS 67337).
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Name Altar Society; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
