With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gracie Applegate (Coffeyville, Kansas), born in Henrietta, Texas, who passed away on March 25, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Enrique Lucio and Marth Lucio; her grandparents, Eluteterio Coboz, Maria Sanchez and Gracie; her former husband Charles Applegate; her brothers, Enrique Jr. and Sammy (Carmen Rodriguez); her great-niece Wendy Beard; and her close friend Jim Scott.
She is survived by: her niece Irene Wright (Kevin) of Coffeyville; her godson Caesar Rodriguez of Independence; her half-brother Benny Lucio of Arizona; and her friends, Tony, Debbie Rodriguez, Joe and Carla LaFon.
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Coffeyville Friends of Animals or to Holy Name Catholic Church; these may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
