He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hartzell and Laura Hartzell (Frazee); his stepmother Virginia Hartzell; his brothers, Forrest Hartzell and Jewell Hartzell; and his half-brother Jimmy Hartzell.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Vicki Hartzell; his nieces and nephews, Jason Hartzell (Amy), Josh Hartzell, Julie Bishop (Ted) and Loretta Glasglow; and his half-sister Carla Andres.
