It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Strom of Coffeyville, Kansas, born in Council Grove, Kansas, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Percel Glen and Leona Mildred Kennedy (Porter); her former husband Willard Ellis Scott; her husband Chester A. Strom; and her siblings, Erma Ruth Kendle and William D. Kennedy.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy A. Wright (Larry) of Coffeyville; her granddaughters, Cami Misch of Keller, TX and Cari Redden (Jason) of Coffeyville; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Morgan Elliott of Keller, TX, Matthew and Kenedi Redden of Coffeyville; and also, Jim Wright (Trudy) of Coffeyville and Cindy Fenske (Benjy) of Clever, MO. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Hospice, Coffeyville First Presbyterian Church, Morris County Historical Society or The Betty Kennedy Strom Scholarship with the Council Grove Area Foundation.
