We bid farewell to JoAnne Josephine Balthazor of Clyde, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 29, 2025 at the age of 87. JoAnne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Hockman and Mary Hockman (Dunphy); and her siblings, Art Hockman, Genevieve Jones and Gloria Naillieux.
She is survived by: her sons, Kurt Balthazor (Erin) of Pittsburg, KS and Bart Balthazor (Jean) of Valley Center, KS; her grandchildren, Warren Balthazor, Claire Barnhart (Isaac), Elliott Balthazor, Miles Balthazor, Evan Balthazor (Mara), Connor Balthazor and Ainsley Balthazor; and her great grandchildren, Samuel Balthazor and Ruby Barnhart.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chaput Mortuary (310 Washington St, Clyde, KS 66938). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (212 N High St, Clyde, KS 66938). A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
