Clayton Kempton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2020, at the age of 92, Clayton Kempton of Clifton, Kansas, born in Kingman, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervin Kempton and Rosey Kempton (Snavely); his daughter Paula Rose Stadel (Jerry); his brothers, Carmen and Denny Kempton; and his stepson Richard Detrixhe.

He is survived by: his former wife Dolores June Pounds; his wife JoAnn Kempton (Detrixhe); his daughter Terri Watson (Robert); his stepchildren, Jan Detrixhe (Pat), Fred Detrixhe (Cindy) and Pam Detrixhe (Paul); and his siblings, Larry Kempton (Betty), Tom Kempton (Linda), Mary Groethe of Rapid City, SD., Barbara Pyeatt (Melvin), Theresa Monte of Rio Rancho, NM. and Sharon Decker (Bill).

Due to COVID-19, no public service will be held in either Concordia or Montrose but a virtual memorial service is planned for a later date TBD.
