He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Pelz and Mary Lena Pelz (Eck); his wife Thelma Pelz; and his siblings, Geraldine Sloan, Mildred Simon, Ramona Thome, Mathew Pelz, Wilford Pelz and Francis Pelz.
He is survived by: his children, John Pelz (Debbie) of Brazoria, TX, Joseph Pelz (Carol) of Eaton, CO, James Pelz (Denise) of Clearwater, KS, Jacque Fisher (Gery) of Wichita, KS, Jerry Pelz (Shirley) of Clearwater, KS, Jeffery Pelz of Wichita, KS, Justin Pelz (Sherrie) of Wichita, KS, Janet Neptune (Tom) of Piedmont, OK, Jane Berntsen (Matthew) of Conway Springs, KS, Jean Horsch (Richard) of Clonmel, KS, Jami Pelz (Deb) of Clearwater, KS and Jason Pelz of Belle Plaine, KS; and his sister Patricia Rausch of Anthem, AZ. He is also survived by 64 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
