He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John William Obie and Nettie Kelley; his wife Nada Lee Smith; his brothers, Robert (Adella) and Wayne (Lois); his sons, Joe Jr. (Julie), Wade, Rob (Jill), Tim and Keith (Jenni); his grandchildren, Katelyn (Caleb), David (Sarah), Emily (Sam), Karis, Jon, Josh and Zak; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Ruthie, Thatcher and Nora Jo. He was also cherished by family members and friends.
