He was predeceased by: his parents, Van W. Brooks and Thelma Brooks (Foust); and his brother Bradley. He is survived by: his children, Don Brooks (Barbara) of Clayton, Kansas, Carolyn "Jo" Walker (Dennis) of Clayton and Janet Guerrero (John) of Salina, Kansas; and his brother Vern Brooks (Martha) of Green Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many beloved in-laws.
