We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2021, at the age of 95, William Thurlow of Clay Center, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Thurlow to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thurlow and Caroline Thurlow (Koerner); and his siblings, Barbara Dexter, Melvin, Erwin and Calvin Thurlow.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Thurlow of Clay Center, KS.; and his children, Karen Smith (Robert) of Manhattan, KS., Terry Thurlow (Robin) of Wakefield, KS., Lynn Thurlow (Kathryn) of Lindsborg, KS. and Randy Thurlow (Coleen) of Wakefield, KS.

Memorials: in lieu of flowers to CCCIF c/o the funeral home.

“I am sorry to hear of the passing of Coach Thurlow. I included the following in my memoirs relative to my freshman year at Bendena High School. "Mr. Thurlow, our basketball coach, taught the history, general science, and industrial arts courses........Needless to say I got well acquainted with Mr. Thurlow that year and he became a real inspiration for me relative to teaching and coaching." He was a great man and will be missed by many including me. My condolences on your loss.”
