He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wichman and Leona Wichman (Reed); and his siblings, Robert Wichman (Bob) and Peggy Goff. He is survived by: his former wife Peggy Appleton; his wife Donna Wichman of Clay Center; his children, Mike Wichman (Terri) of Alvin, Donald Wichman (Sandy) of Wichita, Julie Nelson (James) of McPherson, Doris Beck of Rogers, Deb Simone (Kirk) of Silver Lake and Brenda Richards (Dan) of Manhattan; his adoptive daughter Kathy Schaefer (Dennis Rightmeier) of Manhattan; and his siblings, Betty Nail of McPherson, Mary Babcock of Cairo, Missouri, Chester Wichman of Clay Center and Jim Wichman of Mount Pleasant, Texas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice.
