It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leota Fessenden (Clay Center, Kansas), born in Clifton, Kansas, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wurtz and Catherine Wurtz (Straub); and her siblings, Cecelia Swaim, Daphna Wilson, Lyola Martens, Delbert Wurtz, Leighton Wurtz and Donald Wurtz.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Fessenden; her sons, Charles Fessenden (Jennifer) of Almena, KS and Craig Fessenden (Kay) of Houston, TX.; and her grandchildren, Cory Fessenden (Jennifer), Cathryn Horn (Jeremy) and Regan Schupmann (Paul).
Cremation is planned with a memorial service at a later date due to Covid.
