She was predeceased by: her parents, Josiah Reed and Lavina Reed (McNeal); her husband Arlen E. Carpenter; her brother Stephen "Ray" Reed; her siblings-in-law, Fred Case and Sharon Reed; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Carpenter; her nephew Terry Keeler; and her siblings-in-law, Iris and Dick Wilson.
She is survived by: her sons, Kelly Carpenter of Clay Center, KS, Kim Carpenter (Sandra) of Clay Center, KS and Kevin Carpenter of Wichita, KS; her sister-in-law Rose Anne Reed of Clay Center, KS; and her siblings, Delores Case of Clay Center, KS, Gary Reed of Clay Center, KS and Janice Gregory (George) of Clay Center, KS. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leonardville Nursing Home and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
