It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jim Beck (Clay Center, Kansas), born in Enid, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Beck (Yager) and James Paul Beck (Jim); and his niece Krista Beck. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stutzman; his grandchildren, Susan, Istanbul and Caleb Proffer; his daughters, Jill and Jamie; his son-in-law Daniel Proffer; his grandson Caden; his brother Richard Beck (Pat); his great-niece Phoebe Parker (Forrest); and his cousins, Brenda Montoya (Barnes), Larry Barnes, John Yager, Jeffrey Yager, Jason Yager and Chuck Proudfoot.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Clay County Arts Council or the Clay Center United Methodist Church.
