It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Smith (Clay Center, Kansas), who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair Blake and Eva Glenola Blake (Gray); her husband Chester Smith; and her sisters, Portia Kieffer-Meyer and Connie Cyr.
She is survived by: her former husband Wayne Cyr; her sons, David Wayne Cyr (Christopher Hempel) of Buffalo, NY and Marty (Brenda Cyr) of Longford, KS.; her stepchildren, Clara Smith (Shelle Hughes) of Lindsborg, KS. and Clayton (Brenda Smith) of Longford, KS; and her brother Derald (Mary Blake) of Assaria, KS.. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 Step grandchildren and several Step great-grandchildren.
