He was predeceased by: his parents, John McChesney and Ella McChesney (Saip); his siblings, Chester, Warren, James and Neva Joy Hermes; and his great grandchild Archer Chastangner.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Fry; his children, Patricia Obourn (Malcolm "Mac"), Vicki Streit (David), James "Jim" (Kathy) and Bryan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jennifer Willis, Chelsea McChesney, Alexandra McChesney, Kellen Berkenpas, Rebecca Obourn and Robert Obourn; and his great grandchildren, Mikaylin Willis, Jalen Mason, Parker Berkenpas, Kale Shumate, Aurelia Chastangner and Frances Obourn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor c/o the funeral home.
